Sorrento & Surroundings

Sorrento Town Center
The vibrant heart of the Sorrento Peninsula revolves around Piazza Tasso, historic lanes, and lemon-scented gardens. With artisan shops, terraces over the Bay of Naples, gelato stops, and restaurants, it is ideal for an afternoon that flows into the evening passeggiata.

Positano
The iconic pastel-colored village cascades down Amalfi Coast cliffs to Spiaggia Grande. Explore boutique-lined stairways, visit Santa Maria Assunta with its majolica dome, and pause for a sea-view lunch in one of Italy's most photographed coastal towns.

Amalfi
The historic maritime republic gives its name to the entire Amalfi Coast and has a compact center made for walking. The Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, the Paper Museum, lemon pastries, and waterfront piazzas make Amalfi a rewarding day trip for culture and food.

Capri (via Ferry)
The legendary island of Capri is reached by ferry from Sorrento and makes an unforgettable day on the water. From the Piazzetta and Gardens of Augustus to the Faraglioni, Blue Grotto, and Villa San Michele, the island offers scenery at every turn.

Marina del Cantone
This broad pebble beach in the bay of Nerano is one of the Sorrento Coast's favorite places for swimming. Clear water suits snorkeling, while the waterfront restaurants are an excellent place to taste fresh seafood and the local spaghetti alla Nerano.

Massa Lubrense Old Town
Massa Lubrense keeps the authentic pace of a coastal village while overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Capri. The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, panoramic terraces, and local shops offer an easy, peaceful outing close to the villa.

Marina Grande of Sorrento
Below Sorrento, Marina Grande remains a working fishing village shaped by small boats, nets, and colorful houses facing the sea. Its small beach and waterside restaurants make it an appealing lunch or dinner stop with a more local feel than the busy town center.

Marina di Puolo
Less than 200 metres from Villa Lorelei, Marina di Puolo is your closest beach: a small seaside village with dark sand and pebbles, generally calm water, and views toward Vesuvius. Walk down for a swim, then linger over lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants directly on the shore.

Maya Beach Experience
Less than 200 metres from Villa Lorelei, Maya Beach Experience is the closest beach club for an easy day of relaxation with sunbeds, seaside pools, and dining. Its coastal setting is particularly attractive for a sunset aperitif, with no car journey needed from the villa.

Baia di Ieranto
Baia di Ieranto is one of Massa Lubrense's natural highlights, protected within the Punta Campanella marine area and reached only along a scenic trail. Clear water, pale rocks, and views toward Capri's Faraglioni repay the walk; bring water and comfortable shoes.

Cala di Mitigliano
Cala di Mitigliano is a small rocky inlet facing Capri on the wildest stretch of the Sorrento Peninsula. Its turquoise water and views toward Punta Campanella suit travelers looking for nature away from serviced beach clubs; wear comfortable shoes for the descent.

Punta Campanella
Punta Campanella is the dramatic end of the peninsula, where the gulfs of Naples and Salerno meet opposite Capri. The trail from Termini leads to the historic tower and a protected coastal landscape, best explored during the cooler hours of the day.

Bagni della Regina Giovanna
Within walking distance of Villa Lorelei, Bagni della Regina Giovanna is a remarkable natural swimming pool of clear water, enclosed by the rocks of Capo di Sorrento and linked to the open sea through a natural arch. Beside the lagoon are the remains of a Roman maritime villa, combining an exceptional swim with the history of the coast.

Pompeii Archaeological Park
Pompeii is the extraordinary Roman city preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius and deserves at least half a day of exploration. Paved streets, frescoed houses, baths, the forum, and theaters reveal ancient everyday life with extraordinary immediacy.

Path of the Gods
The Path of the Gods is the Amalfi Coast's signature panoramic hike, suspended above the sea between Bomerano and Nocelle. The route opens spectacular views over Positano, cliffs, and Capri; choose a clear day, wear proper footwear, and start in the morning.
